Background

In a career spanning over three decades, Ron has worked with his clients to develop specific strategies to achieve their financial goals. As the leader of the team, he uses his seasoned industry experience to guide the investment policy for the Group’s clients. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.

Active in the community, Ron currently sits on the Investment Committee of the Society of the Cincinnati – Virginia Chapter. In the past, he served six years on the Vestry at St. James’ Episcopal Church and as Senior Warden for one year. He is also a former board member of the Westminster Canterbury Foundation, St. James’ Children’s Center, and former Chairman of the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Richmond.

Outside of work, you will see Ron out on the golf course or tennis courts. He is married to Brenda, and together they have two grown children: John, a member of the Cain & Valentine Team, and Lissie, owner/operator of the Richmond Dog Walking Company.

Background

For over 30 years Thomas has helped clients, both retail and institutional, find financial solutions. He brings his extensive market knowledge and philanthropy work to the team to forge new relationships throughout the Richmond community. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1980.

Active in the community, Thomas has served on the boards of the Maymont Foundation, The Commonwealth Club, the Country Club of Virginia, Theatre IV, the Valentine Museum Board of Trustees, and the Virginia Board of Tourism. He was previously Chairman of the Historic Richmond Foundation and currently serves on The Board of Governors for St. Christopher’s School.

Outside of the community, you will see Thomas hiking along the Buttermilk and North Bank Trails or working on his green thumb. He is married to Deborah, and they have three grown children: Tee, Eugenie, and Eliza.

Background

John works alongside Ron and Thomas as a Financial Consultant, devising, implementing, and monitoring investment plans for the Group’s clients. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2008.

John was a past president of the Builder’s Council, a group of young professionals who support the Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity, as well as a board member and liaison of the Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity

During his free time, John loves to golf, surf, play racket sports, and tackle home improvement projects. He and Berkley were married in 2016, and they have a mixed black lab, Ellie.

Background

Mandi has been in the financial services industry for over 11 years. She brings her operational experience and service-oriented attitude to the team to take each client’s goals from planning to execution. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington in 2006.

Mandi enjoys building homes for needy Richmond families with Habitat for Humanity. In addition to her work with Habitat, she volunteers frequently to read to students at both J.G. Hening and Clover Hill Elementary Schools in Chesterfield County. She and her family are members of Journey Christian Church in Midlothian.

In her spare time, Mandi is fully focused on her lovely little girl, Charlotte (6), and baby boy, Tripp (3), beside their stay-at-home dad, Rusty.
